A little about that girl in the glasses…
I love books. I’m an avid reader, and the one author I look up to above all the others is JRR Tolkien. He was a brilliant man by any meaning of the word, I can only imagine what it would have been like to talk with him over a cup of tea. The depth and richness of the world he created always fascinated me, the words he wove in poems and songs captivated me, drawing me back to re-read his books a multitude of times. What struck me the most though, is that he didn’t set out to write the best fantasy novels. He did it because he loved it. He loved to create. He followed his passion and poured every ounce of himself into it, he has inspired me to pursue my dreams, to create for the sake of creating.
When I’m not geeking out over my favorite authors or books, I also love to write, draw, dance, and spend time with my awesome dog. Music inspires me, nature awes me, and the vastness of the stars in the night sky humbles me. I love learning about anything, researching is a hobby for me. I also binge watch Netflix on occasion, I love playing all sorts of video games, I built my own gaming desktop computer, spending time with my family and close friends is the highlight of any day, and Autumn is my favorite season. The other love of my life is coffee. Tea is unique and beautiful in all its varieties, but coffee is the elixir that keeps me going. I’m so lucky to have the best coffee company right down the road from me, seriously the best coffee I have ever had.
